ABOUT THE RENDEZVOUS BOARDING CATTERY
Passionate About Your Pets
We have been running The Rendezvous Boarding Cattery since moving here in 2007. Previously we had been involved with cats for many years, having bred and shown Maine Coons. We recognise that each cat is an individual, and as such they can all behave very differently. Some cats are super-confident and friendly, wanting to interact and play with you at every opportunity. Others are shy and reserved and would much rather be left alone. We respect each cat's personality and interact with them in the most appropriate way for their individual character. The cattery is in a quiet location, serving the Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Welshpool areas. Our pens are spacious and comfortable. We provide litter, bedding and toys, although you are welcome to bring your cat's favourite belongings in too. Regular, branded food is included in the price of boarding, but if your cat is on a special diet or medicinal food we ask that you bring it with you.

So essentially the price is inclusive of all that your cat will need for their stay with us, with the exception of any special food or medication. You are very welcome to bring your cat’s favourite things from home such as toys and bedding (if clean and flea-free!)
MY PET HAS A SPECIAL DIET / IS ON MEDICATION. CAN THEIR NEEDS BE ACCOMMODATED?
Many cats are on special diets or medications for various chronic and non-contagious conditions. We are happy to feed according to the owner's instructions and we can administer some medications, including insulin. We will not generally administer tablets unless your cat is extremely placid and used to taking them. We would ask that you discuss with us in advance the details of medication that your cat requires. We CANNOT accept cats in for boarding who are known to have a contagious disease, any type of infection or an open wound.
DOES MY CAT NEED TO BE VACCINATED, AND HAVE HAD ROUTINE FLEA AND WORM TREATMENTS?

For the health of your own cat, as well as the that of our other guests, your cat must be up to date with their vaccinations and the vaccine card completed by your vet should be presented to us upon arrival. It is also requested that your cat is treated for fleas and worms prior to arrival. It is quite surprising the number of cats who do have fleas and/or worms and the owners are genuinely unaware. If your cat displays symptoms of worms or fleas during their stay then we reserve the right to treat them and add the cost of the treatment to the final bill.

IF MY CAT GETS ILL WHILST I AM AWAY, WHAT HAPPENS?
We will seek medical attention for your cat if it becomes or appears to be ill. We will make all reasonable effort to contact you and take your instruction, but we must put animal welfare first. We would ordinarily use your normal vet as they will have the medical history to hand, but in a time critical emergency will will use the nearest available vet.
HOW CAN I CHECK ON MY PET DURING THEIR STAY?
You are always welcome to telephone and see how your cat is doing. If you are on WhatsApp we can also send you photos or a short video of your cat to give you peace of mind that all is well.

WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?
